Upload Designs

The ‘Upload’ button allows users to upload an individual slide, multiple slides, designs or presentations to the server so they can be accessed by other users.

Designs can be uploaded to the server to allow users to create new presentations with a similar look. The designs determine the colour, font sizes and styles and the layout of slides in a presentation.

Step 1: To upload a design click the ‘Upload’ button on the RightSlide ribbon. This will bring up a panel with the upload options. Select ‘Design’.

Step 2:  If the design has not previously been uploaded a message box will appear saying ‘This is a new design, do you wish to upload it?’. Select ‘Yes’

If the design has been uploaded before the message box will say ‘The design already exists on the repository, do you wish to change the design or create a new separate version?’.

Selecting ‘Change’ will overwrite the existing version. To add an additional version select ‘Create’. Once a selection has been made the design details panel will appear as it does when uploading a brand new design.

Step 3: A panel will appear. Here all the design details can be entered i.e. A title, keywords, author and a description. Here you can also select department(s) and category(s) for the design to go in.

The Aspect Ratio will be automatically detected.

The expiry calendar drop down allows an expiry date to be set for the file. Unselect the checkbox to set no expiry.

Step 4: The department and subsequent category(s) can be selected from here. View the current settings with the ‘Eye’ icon or edit this data with the ‘Pencil’ icon.

On selecting the ‘Pencil’ icon, you'll first be able to select a department(s). Once you select 'OK' a categories box will pop up to select a category(s) within that department.

Step 6: There will be a delay as the file is uploaded to the server. You will be informed once the upload has been successful.
