The annotation tool allows reviewers and approvers to annotate the same document at the same time within DotApprove.  

When documents are converted into live files it allows users to edit and reply to annotations in real time. This speeds up the traditional process of annotating files as the workflow owner doesn't have to wait for each user to take turns to annotate. 

File Annotation 

The file will open up in another Internet Explorer tab.  As this is a live file you will see other users annotating the document at the same time as yourself. To annotate the document use the annotation tools at the top right-hand corner of the screen. 

The annotations you made will show up on the right-hand side of the screen. You can edit and reply to comments when on the live file. If you wish to see a list of all annotations just click on the 'Show all annotations' button. 

When all annotations have been made, close the document and complete your task as you normally would within DotApprove.
